Hi, I’m Rob Kamin, the owner of Hammer & Hedges. I’m a Magnolia resident, homeowner, dad, and longtime member of the Seattle community. I started this business to offer practical, reliable help for the kinds of home and yard projects that always seem to pile up — small repairs, seasonal cleanups, punch-list items, and finishing touches that make a house feel cared for.

My background includes hands-on residential project management in Seattle, including coordinating the construction of homes in the Magnolia and Ballard neighborhoods. I’ve managed large projects, vendors, budgets, schedules, and punch lists, which taught me how to look at a home as a whole system: what needs attention, what can wait, and how to get work done cleanly, efficiently, and thoughtfully.

I also have a background in fine art, which has shaped the way I approach home repair, landscaping, and design details. Whether it’s aligning trim, choosing the right finish, cleaning up a garden bed, or helping a space feel more balanced, I bring an artist’s eye to practical work.

Before launching Hammer & Hedges, I spent years working as a UX writer and content designer in Tech, where clear communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving were central to my work. I bring that same organized, design-minded approach to home repair and yard care.

Whether I’m patching drywall, installing a light fixture, refreshing garden beds, trimming hedges, hauling yard debris, or helping get a home ready for guests, renters, or a sale, my goal is simple: do good work, communicate clearly, and leave things better than I found them.
